Group lessons (ages 13 and up) $179

  • Learn to stand-up paddle (SUP) in Kailua! This ancient water sport has made a major comeback with the help of new board technology, increasing the performance and ease of riding. Stand-up paddling combines the thrill of surfing with the techniques of paddling, a match made in heaven. Kailua offers a variety of conditions, from flat water cruising to moderate chop and rolling waves. Lessons generally stick to the calmest areas to practice basic strokes and techniques.

  • Our lessons start with paddling instruction and a brief intro class in our Beach Center. Next you’ll head to Kailua Beach Park, where the instructor will help you launch your board and stand up. Paddle boarders head out towards Popoiʻa “Flat Island” and typically land here for a break and island tour. Guides provide snacks and water and help capture photos on your SUP lesson.

    We have a full-service water sports shop with everything you might need for your trip.

  • • All Paddleboarding (SUP) Gear (Paddles, drybags, island landing permits)

    • Use of snorkeling gear, beach mats, beach chairs, bicycles (bike locks included), boogie boards, & a secure locker

    • Free Beach Parking

  • All participants must be able to swim.

    Kayaking is a physical activity that does require a moderate level of fitness. Kayaks must also be transported via cart to the beach (5-10 min walk).

Private One-on-one: $339/person

(Ages 8 +)

Great for those who prefer individualized instruction. Learn at your pace and/or focus on what you want. Children 8-17 must be accompanied by an adult. 1-2 People Max.

Private Group: $239/person

(Ages 8+ /3 pers min)

You provide the group, and we keep it private. Ideal for families, paddlers that have a specific destination in mind, or a couple that wants to share a fun experience. Children 8-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

If you are interested in exploring Kailua Bay by Stand-Up Paddle Board on your own, and want a complete package including lunch, and beach gear, then the Self Guided Stand-Up Paddle Tour is for you! Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
