Beginner stand-up paddleboarders start in the canal to practice technique and balance before heading out to the ocean. Kailua offers over a mile of inland canals that can be utilized for flat water exploration. Traveling to the mouth of the canal, you will end up at Kailua Beach, which is the best launch site to visit Flat Island. This is a short paddle and worth the effort. Landing at a small cove on the island allows a chance for a break and to explore the seabird sanctuary island by foot. Next, paddle along Lanikai’s turquoise, calm water, offering views of the coral reef, tropical fish, and meandering sea turtles. For the experienced stand-up paddler, SUP out to the ‘Twin Islands’ or Mokulua’s for a real adventure!

There is a $10 cancellation fee per piece of equipment if the rental is cancelled on the day of.

There is no charge for day-before (before 12:00 am) cancellation. All participants must be able to swim.
