Buzz’s Steakhouse
One of only two restaurants by the beach in Kailua. This is truly a local favorite for steaks, seafood and a gourmet salad bar. Sitting just across from Kailua Beach Park, enjoy indoor and outdoor seating on the deck, or drinks at the bar! Buzz’s is also Ocean Friendly certified! Fun fact: Both the Clinton’s and Obama’s have dined here.
Kalapawai Cafe
Focusing on fresh local ingredients and using deft french inspired technique, Kalapawai Cafe has established itself as one of the best restaurants in Kailua. A fun and satisfying menu pairs well with a great wine list in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is always welcoming and knowledgeable and the location is great, right at the entrance to Kailua Town. If you can’t make it for dinner, just go in for a coffee and a pastry, or a quick lunch. The sandwiches and coffee are hard to beat.
Lanikai Brewing Company, Tap & Barrel
Lanikai Brewing Company is the first and only local Kailua beer. They started as a small tasting room and brewery supplying local and larger stores, but have opened a fabulous new brewpub with a great beer and cider selection. No food menu yet, but you can bring your own food and there is usually a food truck outside in case you get the munchies! The beers are delicious and usually have a local twist on classic beer types.
